A video has resurfaced of former Atlanta Falcons running back/kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson coming to the rescue when he saw a little girl crying during a game vs. the Detroit Lions at the end of the 2021 season.
Patterson approached the mom to see what the problem was.
"Because he [the brother] got a ball and she didn't," the mother said.
That is when the friendly 4x Pro Bowler took action right away.
"Oh, she need a ball? Let's find her a ball," he said.

The mom said he saved the day, as Patterson got a fan for life.
To point out, Patterson also scored a touchdown during the game, to help lift the Falcons to a 20-16 victory, which means he was winning on and off the field.
Now he finds himself on a new team heading into the 2024 NFL season, since signing a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason. Patterson will try to earn some playing time, despite being third on the running back depth chart behind Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren.
Being selected in the late first round of the 2013 NFL draft, Patterson has gone on to have a successful playing career. In 11 NFL seasons so far, playing for the Vikings, Raiders, Patriots, Bears, and Falcons, Patterson has racked up 2,511 rushing yards (4.9 yards per carry) and 2,795 receiving yards (298 receptions), to go along with 38 (rush+rec) touchdowns.
Furthermore, the speedster out of Tennessee also has nine kickoffs returned for a touchdown throughout his career, which set an NFL record that was previously held by Josh Cribbs and Leon Washington (8).
