"I know how much the game means to me. How much I wanna get back to the game," Wall said. "I've been an All-Star, I've been a franchise player before. It's been a tough journey trying to get back there. The most important thing for me is just trying to stay healthy."
Wall at one point in time was one of the most explosive players in the league, until injuries deterred his playing career. To point out, since tearing his achilles amid the 2018-19 season, Wall has only appeared in 74 games.
The 33-year-old last played in the NBA during the 2022-23 season, when he averaged 11.3 points and 5.2 assists in limited minutes for the LA Clippers.
Undoubtedly, even if Wall has lost a step, the former Washington Wizards guard has the talent to compete or at the very least certainly teams could benefit from his veteran presence off the bench.
"I know a lot of these teams have a lot of young guys on the team," Wall noted. "They don't have a lot of vets. I think you need those vets in the locker room. That's what teams are missing. I'm willing to accept any role it is to be on a team. If it's playing, not playing, being in the Udonis Halsem role. Anything like that."
People are really forgetting about John Wall.
I had to remind y’all..

In 11 seasons in the NBA, the five-time All-Star averaged 18.7 points (43% FG; 32.2% 3PT), 8.9 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.6 steals.

"I just wanna be in an NBA jersey again because I know how much the game means to me, how much I still have left. If it's helping the team playing, if it's helping the team trying to be a coach or be a mentor, I'm willing to accept that."
