RFK Racing announced on Friday morning that Chris Buescher will showcase a special scheme during the June 28 race at Sonoma Raceway. His No. 17 Ford Mustang Dark Horse will have Trimble as a primary partner, but the car will not have the traditional blue scheme.
Instead, the No. 17 will feature a red and white scheme bearing logos for Trimble and Liverpool Football Club. The design will also include the club's "Liver Bird" in multiple spots.

This crossover design is made possible by RFK Racing. The team's ownership include the Fenway Sports Group, which also owns the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool FC, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the PGA Tour, and Boston Common Golf.
"This is a special opportunity to connect three world-class organizations," said RFK Racing President Chip Bowers.
"Liverpool FC has one of the most passionate global fanbases in sports, and Trimble's sponsorship made it possible to bring that global energy to life on one of our cars in Sonoma, at a time when the world's attention is on soccer in the U.S. It's a powerful moment for all three brands."
The first in-person glimpse at this scheme will take place on April 18-19. Premier League Mornings Live will take place at Armature Works in Tampa Bay, Florida. This fan festival will feature interactive exhibits, live match viewings, and an up-close look at the No. 17 Ford.
Why would the reigning Premier League Champion take over a Cup Series car for a race in California? One reason is that Liverpool FC will take part in a preseason tour of the United States. The club will make stops in Nashville (July 25), New York (July 29), and Chicago (Aug. 2).
The trip to Nashville will feature a match against Sunderland. The trip to New York will feature a match against Wrexham. The match to Chicago will feature a match against Leeds.
