San Diego Padres player Jeremiah Estrada has revealed with a post on Instagram that he has proposed to Jianna Guerrero.

The proposal, which took place earlier this year, featured an elaborate setup. Estrada knelt on hundreds of rose petals. Dozens of candles surrounded the area. A massive, heart-shaped rose display sat in the background, along with the message, "Will You Marry Me?"

"What I thought was a dinner date out of town turned into the best yes of my life," Guerrero wrote in a separate post on Instagram.

Estrada, a former member of the Chicago Cubs, has played for the San Diego Padres since the 2024 season. He has been a key member of the bullpen while appearing in 148 games. He has filled a reliever role while striking out 215 batters. He has only thrown nine wild pitches.

The California native missed some earlier this season after losing velocity on his fastball. The team placed him on the 15-day injured list on April 11 due to right elbow tendinitis. He had experienced elbow tightness while warming up for a game against the Colorado Rockies.

Estrada made two rehab appearances while recovering from the elbow tendonitis. He pitched one inning for Low-A Lake Elsinore and one inning for Triple-A El Paso. He did not allow any runs during his brief appearances. He also got his velocity back to the upper 90s.

The Padres activated Estrada from the injured list on May 1 while optioning David Morgan back to Triple-A El Paso. He then played in one inning during a May 2 loss to the Chicago White Sox and 1.2 innings during a 10-5 win over the San Francisco Giants.

Estrada will continue to suit up for the Padres after returning from the injured list. He and Guerrero will also continue to prepare for their upcoming wedding.
