According to a press release, Bananas second baseman Jackson Olson will make his debut on the dance competition show. He will use the dancing skills that have entertained fans of Banana Ball, and he will use them to try to reach the finals of the long-running competition show.
Olson focuses on making plays on the diamond, but he also uses his social media platforms to provide a unique look into his life. Particularly, his love of going to Disney parks in his free time.
Olson also showcased his excitement about being cast on Dancing With the Stars. He performed a routine with his team members as he made his way to the plate for an at-bat appearance in a recent game.
This video caught the attention of Carrie Ann Inaba, a judge on the competition show. She responded to his post on Instagram with a comment and said, "You are a star in the making.... now let's work on pointing those toes."
The Dancing With the Stars showrunner has not revealed the full cast list for this upcoming season. This will happen on Sept. 2. However, ABC has slowly leaked a few names to the public.
The list also includes reality TV personality Ciara Miller and reality TV personality Maura Higgins. Olson is the latest member of this group.
