Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback-turned-CBS Sports broadcaster Tony Romo has canceled an appearance after an offseason arrest for OWI.

According to KLTV, Romo withdrew from the 56th M&P Group Texas State Open golf tournament at Cascades Country Club in Tyler, Texas. He had also been scheduled for a question and answer segment, but this will no longer happen.
"Although we're disappointed he won't be joining us, we're still looking forward to an exciting week of competitive golf," a spokesperson for the club told KLTV in an email.
Romo had regularly competed in the tournament, which began on Monday and runs through Friday.
The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback was arrested last Friday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Authorities stopped him as he was traveling southbound on I-43. He took part in field sobriety tests, but he "performed poorly." He was placed under arrest on a charge of operating while intoxicated (OWI).
This marks a first offense for Romo. He will have a court hearing on Sept. 21, the same day that the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams close out Week 2 of the NFL season with a Monday Night Football matchup.
The veteran quarterback and color analyst is no stranger to the golf course. He has spent many an offseason competing on courses across the country, including as recently as early July.
Romo took part in the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in mid-July. He finished sixth in the celebrity-filled tournament, which included such big names as Jason Kelce, Rich Eisen, Alfonso Ribeiro, Austin Reaves, Adam Thielen, Nate Bargatze, and Steph Curry.
Mardy Fish won the tournament while Joe Pavelski and Curry rounded out the top three. Fish locked up the white lab coat, the crystal trophy, and $150,000.
The rest of the top 10 included Annika Sorenstam, John Smoltz, Romo, Derek Lowe, Taylor Twellman, Matt Boldy, and Dwight Freeney.
