Denny Hamlin did not hold back when discussing the group of men from Chad Bryant Racing who attacked Corey Heim after a Late Model race at Martinsville Speedway.

He made it clear that he does not want them to be around the track for the foreseeable future.
"Those (expletive) cowards waited on Corey Heim to leave his car and leave his team, and then jumped him while he was on the way to his hauler," Hamlin said during the Sept. 28 episode of Actions Detrimental.
"I don't know who's in charge of NASCAR Regional, but there's absolutely no way that any of those guys should be in a pit lane for the next year, at least. Like I want, and I want (NASCAR) to say publicly what they do to them. And if it's nothing, I will have a major problem. But none of those cowards should be in a pit lane in the foreseeable future."
The fight broke out on Saturday night after the ValleyStar Credit Union 300, which Heim finished in second place. After the race, he and fellow racer Treyten Lapcevich made contact multiple times on the cooldown lap, resulting in Heim's car launching into the air and landing on Lapcevich's. This caused significant damage to both vehicles.
Lapcevich went to confront Heim after the race, but team owner Chad Bryant stopped him. Some time later, members of the team appeared to attack Heim by the Martinsville hot dog stand.

One man grabbed the driver and punched him in the head/neck area, knocking his hat away. Other people got involved, including one who pushed Heim up against the hot dog stand menu. A man then threw another punch at Heim's head, but he missed and hit the menu.
Law enforcement officers stepped in and broke up the fight, but the shouts and arguing continued as the parties separated. Heim never fought back, something that Hamlin and his producers addressed during the podcast. They noted that it would have been four against one.
"They got to get control of the whole Martinsville thing because it, just it's spiraling out of control, and I don't know who's in charge of it," Hamlin added.
"But they got to do better, and just really put some real rules down that, you know, 'We're gonna have fights?' Then this will be your last Martinsville for quite some time, or last short track race you're gonna attend for quite some time. But I don't know. I got no respect for those guys."
