According to a Tuesday announcement, Arrow McLaren has agreed to a multi-year deal with Chevrolet. This deal keeps the Bowtie as the team's engine manufactuer for 2027 and beyond, and it provides consistency as the team prepares for the move to the new chassis in 2028.

This deal continues a partnership that began in 2020, Arrow McLaren's first full season in IndyCar. The team has celebrated 14 wins, 54 podiums, and 13 poles in this span.

Five of these wins came last season, courtesy of Pato O'Ward and Christian Lundgaard. These two drivers finished fourth and third in the championship standings, respectively.

"Our extension with Chevrolet is key to our overall goal of winning both the IndyCar championship and the Indy 500," said Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing.

"Over the past seven seasons, the team and Chevy have been working closely together through various developments, and the work now ahead of us with the 2028 chassis will be critical in determining our competitiveness.

"Mark Reuss (General Motors president), Eric Warren (General Motors VP of Global Motorsports Competition), Jim Campbell (General Motors VP of Performance and Motorsports Commercial Operations) and everyone across the Chevy and GM organization are committed to executing at the highest level and share our absolute focus on winning. I'm excited for what's to come with this strengthened relationship."

This extension comes after Arrow McLaren revamped driver lineup and revealed that numbers for the three full-time cars and the one-off entry for the Indianapolis 500.

O'Ward will return in 2027 as he continues to drive the No. 5 Chevrolet. Sir Scott Dixon will join the team after more than two decades at Chip Ganassi Racing. He will drive the No. 6.

Indianapolis 500 winner Felix Rosenqvist will drive the No. 7 as he joins the team. Ryan Hunter-Reay, who will join the team for the 2027 Indianapolis 500, will control the No. 31.
