According to an announcement made on Friday at Talladega Superspeedway, Dawson Sutton will join Tricon Garage full-time in 2027 to drive the No. 5 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro.
Sammy Smith will drive the No. 15 Toyota full-time while replacing Tanner Gray. This will mark Smith's rookie season in the Truck Series. He has previously made 10 starts over four years, and he will make two more before the end of the season.

The two new drivers will join two returning figures in the full-time lineup. Tricon Garage previously announced that Gio Ruggiero and Kaden Honeycutt will both return for the 2027 season.
The No. 1 Toyota will also operate full-time in 2027. It will continue to serve as the All-Star vehicle with multiple new drivers and multiple returning drivers. Tricon Garage noted that it does not have any current plans for Gray to make any starts.
"When I left Toyota in '23, I think it was a surprise to some," Smith said during a press conference. "But you know, obviously, when I had everything happen over the summer of splitting from (JR Motorsports), I really assessed all my options and really felt like Tricon Garage and Toyota was really my best option to be able to go out and win races."
Set to chase his first Truck Series title.

Another piece of news surfaced on Friday as Tricon Garage unveiled its full-time lineup. Rackley W.A.R., the team for which Sutton currently drives, announced it will cease operations as a Truck Series team after Friday's race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Rackley W.A.R. has competed in the Truck Series since the 2021 season while featuring multiple drivers. Matt DiBenedetto scored the team's lone win at Talladega Superspeedway in 2023.
Dawson Sutton has driven the No. 26 since midway through the 2024 season when Rackley W.A.R. and DiBenedetto parted ways. He has made 53 starts while posting four top-10 finishes and two top-fives.
