Swardson, a massive fan of the Minnesota Vikings, has provided multiple updates about this issue on his Instagram page. They have all featured him in a hospital bed.

"Hey, if you have a sharp pain in your abdomen, don't assume it's a super fart," Swardson said earlier this month. "Or, like I did, food poisoning. It could be your appendix, which is what I'm going into surgery for right now."

Swardson added that he had experienced the pain while filming a project. This served as a cautionary tale for other people, but it also provided an opportunity for the comedian to make a joke about friend David Spade. He said he would be getting Spade removed from his phone.

The story did not end with that initial update. He said that the surgeon removed the appendix, but the doctors later found toxins spreading through his body. He had to return to the hospital in "excruciating pain." He then described how the doctors had to put a tube down his throat and into his stomach to remove waste from his body.

The most recent update, which Swardson posted hours before the NBA Draft on Tuesday, showed him in a much better situation. He remained in the hospital, but he chomped down on some ice chips.

He also had his full voice back, which he used to ask a question about sitcoms from the 1970s and 1980s. Swardson then confirmed that he would soon exit the hospital to go back to his life.

"My next post will be me outta here!! Love you all. NBA Draft tonight. Let's go," he wrote in the caption of his post.

This news of his improving health sparked many positive reactions from friends and followers. The list included comedian Theo Von and Simple Plan lead singer Pierre Bouvier.
