Final Four hopeful reportedly going to have its most important player back soon

They needed to hear this.

Arizona Wildcats guard Rawle Alkins has reportedly been cleared for full contact, according to multiple reports.

Alkins is recovering from a broken foot that was suffered back in September. He was initially expected to miss eight to 12 weeks following surgery to repair the broken bone.

He was projected to become a major contributor for the Wildcats after averaging 10.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists last season as a freshman. He figures to be a welcomed addition to the team as the Wildcats have struggled a bit this season after posting a 5-3 record through their first eight games. They began the season as the fifth-ranked team in the country, but fell out of the rankings after dropping three consecutive games in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

The Wildcats face a couple of tough opponents this week as they play No. 9 Texas A&M on Tuesday and No. 24 Alabama on Saturday.
