The Florida Gators are ranked No. 8 in the preseason AP Poll and are expected to go deep in March. However, if they do go that far it will be because of the play of their backcourt in KeVaughn Allen and Chris Chiozza. Despite not playing any regular season games yet, Chiozza could already be missing time after an injury he suffered in an exhibition game.

He was supposed to be the main man running the offense for the Gators this year and any time he misses is not a good time for the team. After him, there are really no experienced point guards on the roster. There is freshman Mike Okauru and that is about it as far as true point guards go.
The Gator may try to throw Allen in as a point guard and give them more scoring punch with graduate transfer Egor Koulechov starting alongside Virginia Tech transfer Jalen Hudson to go with Kevarrius Hayes and one other big man.
