Duke catches major break ahead of ACC home opener

Unreal.

Duke doesn't need much help when it comes to scheduling or facing opponents this season considering they are a very good team and have the pieces to go on a Final Four run. However, it helps when they face an opponent who will be without their best and most intimidating defender.

Koumadje is a 7-foot-4 behemoth who could have really given Marvin Bagley and Wendell Carter troubles in the paint. However, Florida State does have another 7-footer in Ike Obiagu, but he is a freshman and has only been playing 15 minutes a game even with Koumadje's injury keeping him out for several other games. The next tallest guy is 6-foot-9 and will probably not have a chance of stopping either of Duke's five-star big men.

While Duke does have one loss in ACC play —- thanks to Boston College —- it's likely we may not see another one for some time. They have three very winnable games against N.C. State, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest before they face one-loss Miami down south.
