Kim Mulkey's squad winning big won't stop her from standing on business.

The LSU women's basketball coach was ejected in the midst of her team's 81-36 win against Northwestern State on Sunday afternoon. Mulkey — wearing another one of her iconic coaching outfits — stormed the court in a rage after referees called a questionable offensive foul by LSU guard Aneesah Morrow, leading to Mulkey being thrown out of the game.

Mulkey had to be held back from the guilty referee by Angel Reese and a few other LSU players and staff members before being escorted off the court and into the locker room by LSU security — all while LSU fans gave her a standing ovation.
It didn't take long for Mulkey to calm down once the game ended. She was back to her affable self during the postgame press conference and actually appeared grateful to the referee for ejecting her.
"He did the right thing," Mulkey said about the referee in question. "I'm not questioning that. In fact, I think I helped him. I said, 'I'm not leaving, you better toss me.' Something like that, I think. ... And I appreciate it. I appreciate officials that know what you're trying to do out there. I don't appreciate bad calls. But it's part of coaching, guys."
Mulkey's comments make her barrage of emotion appear to have been a calculated decision — most likely in an effort to motivate her team (now 12-1) to keep playing hard despite them being up by 41 points by the time she was tossed. Which makes sense, considering any athlete knows that witnessing their coach get ejected on their behalf is pure motivation fuel.
Mulkey also detailed how she felt about Reese restraining her from the referee.
"It was precious," Mulkey said in the press conference. "Angel was grabbing me and she yelled out, 'Kramer come help me!' She was calling for my son in the stands to come get me."
Mulkey is referring to Kramer Robertson, her son who was also a star baseball player at LSU, helped the Tigers reach the College World Series in 2017, and who is currently playing in the St. Louis Cardinals' minor league system.
Reese didn't need Robertson's help restraining his mom. In fact, we wouldn't be surprised if he'd already known that Mulkey intended to get ejected from Sunday's game before the contest even began. She seems to have had it all planned out beforehand.
