The ongoing scandal at Michigan State has garnered a lot of national attention and, over the weekend, head men's basketball coach Tom Izzo was grilled during a post-game press conference as a by-product of the continuing investigation. With that in mind, the most prominent sports figure associated with the university has now spoken out, with legendary Los Angeles Lakers star Magic Johnson weighing in on what has taken place.

On Monday, Johnson used his Twitter account to lay out a plan of action for anyone "aware of the sexual assault happening to women on the MSU campus."
If anyone was aware of the sexual assault happening to women on the MSU campus from the office of the President, Board of Trustees, athletic department, faculty & campus police, and didn’t say or do anything about it, they should be fired.

Beyond that, Johnson and his wife, Cookie, share their support of those victimized in East Lansing.
Cookie and I stand in support of the victims and their families as they embark on the road to recovery; and I support the movement to hold everyone involved accountable.

Then, Johnson turned to the future, offering his support and voicing what he believes to be the best course of action.
The roles of the new President, Board of Trustees, athletic department, faculty, campus police and students will be to work together to create new policies and procedures to ensure this never happens again.

As a Spartan, I love MSU and want to work with Coach Izzo, the administration, and the students to be a part of the solution in any way that I can.

There are varying opinions when it comes to the next step for the Michigan State athletic program, as well as the university at-large. Still, when Johnson speaks with regard to the school, the attention paid to his words is real.
There are hard-hitting questions to be answered by Izzo, Mark Dantonio, Mark Hollis and the entire university system in the coming days and, as far as Johnson is concerned, anyone on the wrong side of the answers should be dismissed.
