The 7-foot recruit was the No. 10 overall recruit in the class of 2017 according to ESPN and was expected to be a lottery pick. Should he decide to transfer rather than go overseas for the year, he will likely kill his draft stock as he will not be playing for an entire year due to NCAA transfer rules.
He could still try to go pro and perform well at the NBA Combine as well as in tryouts for teams, but his path becomes much harder without actually playing any ball this season.
