University of Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats has celebrated a milestone. He has exchanged vows during a wedding to former Crimson Tide staffer Alex Accetta.

Assistant basketball coach Brian Adams shared the news on social media. He posted a photo of the wedding party. He showed that Oats went the traditional route with a black tuxedo. Accetta had a white gown.
Oats and his former wife, Crystal, quietly divorced in 2023. They have three children — Lexie, Jocie, and Brielle.
Accetta previously served as an Alabama staff member. However, she has since moved on to the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA.
Oats, however, just signed a six-year contract extension with the Crimson Tide. He will continue to lead the basketball team while trying to deliver even more success than in years past.
"I am blessed and honored for the opportunity to continue as the head coach of the men's basketball program at the University of Alabama," Oats said in a statement in April.
"President Mohler, Chancellor Trant, the entire Board of Trustees and our athletics director Greg Byrne have been tremendously supportive and provided us the resources to compete for championships each and every year. We have enjoyed tremendous success during our seven years at Alabama, and we look forward to building on that for many years to come."
A former head coach at Buffalo, Oats took the Alabama job in 2019. He has since led the team to 145 wins and two SEC regular-season championships. He also led the Crimson Tide to two SEC Tournament championships.
Oats, the fastest coach in program history to reach 100 wins, took Alabama to the Final Four for the first time in 2024. Alabama lost to Connecticut, the eventual NCAA champion.
Oats will continue to lead the men's basketball program. He will also celebrate his marriage while moving forward with the offseason.
