Dabo Swinney's classy overtures to Syracuse reportedly continued after the cameras went off

Dabo Swinney handled this beautifully.

There aren't a lot of positives for Clemson when the No. 2 team in the country loses on the road as more than a three-touchdown favorite to Syracuse. It has to be noted, though, that Syracuse played quite well in what was a stunning upset win and, after the game, it appeared as if Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney congratulated Syracuse head coach Dino Babers by telling he was "so happy for (him)."

That wasn't the end, though, as Swinney reportedly continued his classy gestures by going into the Syracuse locker room. David Hale of ESPN brings word of Swinney's actions:

Zaire Franklin said Dabo Swinney sought out Steve Ishmael in the locker room to compliment his game, addressed all the players to congratulate them on the win, and even took pictures with a couple players. "That's one of the classiest things I've seen in my life," Franklin said. "To have been knocked down like that and have the humility to come talk to us, that was cool as hell."

This certainly won't do anything but bolster the already sterling reputation of Swinney and it goes to show that some people understand context enough to know just how important this win was for Syracuse. As for Clemson, the Tigers will be just fine and have every opportunity to reach the College Football Playoff by running the table. Swinney seems to know that and showed a ton of class here.
