Dabo Swinney strikes back at N.C. State's claim that Clemson was using a laptop on the sideline

Dabo strikes back!

On Saturday, N.C. State head coach Dave Doeren called for Clemson to be investigated for the team having a laptop on the sidelines during the Tigers 38-31 win.

The latest response from Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney? That Doeren "needs to be watching his sideline and not worrying about ours".

The full quotes from Swinney, via ESPN's David Hale. The rant came after Swinney was asked if he had received a call from Doeren about the issue.

"No, no, he did not. I had no clue. I knew it wasn't anything to do with football. But I did investigate. I did. I followed instructions to do some investigation. And it turns out, there was just a major crisis going on. A young guy trying to help a team in need. And I think trying to be helpful in a situation, trying to get in touch with Amazon, we had a crisis — a dire need of towels. We were trying to get one of them drones to come in and drop some towels on the sideline, and it just didn't work out. But I want to launch an investigation, too. What do they do with those towels. Is it a towel wall thing? But it's disappointing because that was kind of a challenge to our integrity. And then you watch the tape and, two years ago, we go up there and one of the coaches pushes Deshaun Watson. This year, we got some guy take a swipe at K'Von [Wallace]. What if he break a finger? I think the investigation needs to be managing his sideline and not worrying about ours. So no, didn't get a call."

Swinney had initially said on Saturday that the laptop belonged to a social media manager, but now he is just having fun at N.C. State's expense. Considering that Doeren apparently didn't even talk to Swinney about it, it makes sense that the Clemson coach would be upset about the accusation.
