Florida State just lost head coach Jimbo Fisher to Texas A&M over the weekend, but it seems that the Seminoles have already found their next head man according to one report.

Sources now confirming Willie Taggart is finalizing contract to become next #FSU head coach. Taggart looking to bring Jim Leavitt with him. Announcement expected later today.

Story still fluid and updating, getting new information saying #FSU might not introduce Taggart today but sources close to situation still believe deal will be finalized in 24 hours

Taggart was one of two coaches who were initially reported as candidates to replace Fisher and he quickly became the betting favorite to take the job as well.
However, Bruce Feldman is refuting that information and report and is actually saying quite the opposite.
Am told by a source the report that #Oregon HC Willie Taggart is finalizing a contract with #FSU is not accurate. There has been no meeting with the Noles as of yet.

Feldman's information may be the more accurate of the two as an Oregon recruiting target tweeted a picture with the coach and the coach is definitely not wearing Florida State colors.

Taggart joined Oregon this past offseason after leading South Florida to a 24-25 (18-14 AAC) record during four seasons, including a 10-2 (7-1) finish in 2016. He led the Ducks to a 7-5 (4-5 Pac 12) record during his first season.
