It looks a top recruit of the 2018 class is heading to a school that's not usually known for football.

Linebacker Rocky Shelton (6-foot-0, 205 pounds, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) is rated as a four-star recruit per Rivals.com, and earlier this week Shelton announced a commitment to play football at Duke.

Shelton also had offers from Oregon, Auburn, and Florida State, among others.
Duke is putting together quite the class for 2018, as Shelton is not even rated as the top recruit for the Blue Devils. That honor belongs to defensive end Tahj Rice, who is rated as a consensus four-star recruit across all services.
Duke now has seven commits for their 2018 class, which ranks 21st in the nation at 247Sports.
