According to ESPN, this Playoff contender has the toughest remaining schedule

Strength of schedule is very important to securing a Playoff spot.

If you are already a top contender, it doesn't hurt your case to have the toughest remaining schedule, now does it?

According to ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI), No. 2 Florida State has the toughest remaining schedule out of all FBS teams. Key games on Florida State's schedule include at No. 10 Louisville this weekend, and No. 5 Clemson and No. 23 Florida later in the season.

That is remaining schedule, too; that doesn't including Florida State playing No. 19 Ole Miss to open the season.

With how important strength of schedule has become in the Playoff era, this is certainly something the Seminoles should hang their hat on. If the Seminoles can put together an ACC Championship with that kind of resume, you would have to think they would be a surefire candidate for one of the spots in the College Football Playoff.
