Vegas thinks this two-loss team has a better shot to win the National Championship than three undefeated teams

What is Vegas up to with this?

There are plenty of teams that deserve to be given some good odds to win a National Championship this year. Alabama, Clemson and Michigan certainly come to mind as they are the top three teams in the AP Poll and are all undefeated.

However, there are some other undefeated teams out there that deserve some love, but Vegas seems to think otherwise. Vegas Insider lists the odds of each team to win the National Championship and they favor a two-loss team over several other undefeated teams and one-loss teams.

The site gives LSU 35 to 1 odds to win it while undefeated Nebraska has 40 to 1 odds while Baylor and West Virginia have 50 to 1 odds. That seems pretty curious since LSU getting to the playoffs would require several losses elsewhere in the conference —- most notably from Alabama —- while all those other schools control their own destinies.
