Coach Prime Gets Candid on Julian Lewis's Commitment
Colorado did have at least one win this week. On November 21, quarterback Julian Lewis, a five-star recruit, announced his commitment to Colorado last season. It's a huge win for the program with Shedeur Sanders expected to enter the 2025 NFL Draft. Following the news, Sanders expressed his excitement about the future of the program.
"It was a great thing for the program," Sanders said. "We know that's been in the working for quite some time. Great kid, with great talent. I like the qualities and the home structure. I like all of that, and I can't wait to be a part of his life and coach him."
Lewis' commitment came just five days after flipping his decision to play at USC. When asked about his recruitment process, Sanders explained that it is mainly a matter of "feeling."
"When I feel it in my spirit, you know, get [Lewis] on the phone and get his poppa on the phone, see if his dad wanna come down and just sit down and chop it up with me," Sanders added.
"He sat in my office, I think, a few weeks ago for a couple of hours. I said, 'Come on, give it out to me because I know you got a bunch of questions in mind, let's go.' And we did that. And he walked away feeling really comfortable."
