Fans Crown Ashton Jeanty Heisman Favorite After Another Impressive Performance

When it comes to the 2024 Heisman Award the names you might hear are Colorado's Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders or Alabama's Jalen Milroe. But one name that continues to fly under the radar is Boise State's star Running Back Ashton Jeanty.

Jeanton's stats are so surreal, that you have to do a double-take to make sure your browser isn't glitching. Through Boise State's four games, Jeanty has accrued 845 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns en route to a 3-1 record.

 

In the Bronco's Week 6 matchup against Utah State, Jeanty ran wild once again. On the first play of the game, he received a handoff and took it 65 yards to the house. After another impressive play fans were ready to declare him the Heisman winner.

 

"Ashton Jeanty is so obviously the Heisman this year," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

 

"Ashton Jeanty is so obviously the Heisman this year," another user added.

 

"I really hope Ashton Jeanty can stay healthy all season and bring a Heisman trophy to Boise State," another person said.

 

 

Tim Tebow Pays Homage to Ashton Jeanty

 

It is not just fans who believe that Jeanty making his case to win the most prestigious award in college football. Former Heisman winners are also singing the Boise State star's praises. ESPN college football analyst Tim Tebow, who captured the award three consecutive years, described the star running back as "unreal."

 

"Well, listen, I think Jalen Milroe is standing out. I think Cam Ward is doing a great job. I think Travis Hunter is playing at an unbelievable level on both sides of the ball. But if I had to go with my winner right now through September, I'm going with Ashton Jeanty from Boise State," Tebow said.

 

"This dude is unreal. Through four games, 845 yards, 13 touchdowns. That's what everybody's going to talk about. But I want to talk about what nobody's talking about. Through four games, 21 broken tackles, most in the FBS."
