Louisiana Tech Bulldogs linebacker Brevin Randle has been suspended indefinitely from the program after stomping on the head UTEP Miners offensive tackle Steven Hubbard in their 24-10 road win in Week 5 of the college season.
Video of the incident surfaced on social media, and it's almost hard to watch.

"Coach [Sonny] Cumbie and I met with Brevin Randle today and informed him that he has been suspended indefinitely due to the incident during last night's game versus UTEP," Louisiana Tech athletic director Eric Wood said in a statement released Saturday night.

As seen in the clip above, Hubbard is on the ground as Randle, a redshirt senior, throws his foot down on his helmet. You can see Hubbard squirm in even more pain.
Wood mentioned that disregarding the opponent's safety and overall conduct led to the suspension.
"Our University, athletic department, and football program believe in culture, class, and competitive excellence, and in no way was that displayed in that moment," Wood said.
Wood, who's been at the university since Oct. 23, 2020, said Randle acknowledged "that his action was wrong and understands the consequence."
The referees missed this happening as no personal foul penalty was called. According to UTEP head coach Dana Dimel, they owned their mistake during the game.
"The referee, who I really admire, came over at halftime and very gentlemanly said that he missed it," Dimel said, according to the El Paso Times. "That's part of the game. He (the official) was a class act, I really appreciated that."
While the referees missed it, the CBS broadcasting crew didn't.
"A bit of a dirty play at the end of it," said the broadcaster as he pointed out Randle slamming his foot down on the helmet to the defense offensive lineman.
The play also garnered attention from some NFL players, including Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones.
No place for this in football !!! https://t.co/zxJVcftfdi
