The former NFL coaching legend was on hand in Florida as girlfriend Jordon Hudson and her Code Black teammates captured a championship at Cheerleading Worlds, adding another memorable moment to the couple's increasingly public relationship.
Hudson later shared a photo with Belichick on social media, showing the longtime coach decked out in Code Black gear as he celebrated the team's victory. She jokingly referred to him as "Bill the WAG," a playful nod to the sports term often used for the wives and girlfriends of athletes.
The championship came in the International Coed Non-Tumbling division and marked another accomplishment for Hudson, who has remained active in competitive cheerleading while also competing in pageants and supporting Belichick throughout his first season as head coach at North Carolina.
Belichick, 74, has frequently appeared at Hudson's events over the past year, while Hudson has become a familiar presence around Tar Heels football activities.
The relationship has generated plenty of headlines, largely because of the couple's age difference. Hudson, 25, has often responded with humor, including previous social media posts poking fun at critics and joking about being labeled a "gold digger."
This time, however, the spotlight was on cheerleading.
And after Code Black's championship performance, Belichick appeared more than happy to trade football strategy sessions for a day of celebrating a title alongside Hudson and her teammates.
