Houston is still looking to lock down a head coach for next season the and the sledding has not been as easy as people hoped. While it's looked like the race has come down to Les Miles and Lane Kiffin for the job, it looks like the former could be having some trouble coming to a contract agreement with the school.

There were reports that the deal with Kiffin would be done this week, but this might imply something different.
My information is the buyout Houston would want wouldn't be to Kiffin and Jimmy Sexton's liking.End game out West for Lane.LSU O/C in play.

Sexton usually doesn't do big buyouts like that https://t.co/p5imwOTUR6

Jimmy Sexton is Kiffin's agent and he likely doesn't want a huge buyout because that would scare off other teams from potentially going after Kiffin in a few years when he might get his name in the hat for a Power 5 coaching position. Of course, that would mean he has to take the Houston job in the first place to bring them even more national prominence.
