Four-star strong-side defensive end Malik Herring (6-foot-4, 265 pounds, Forsyth, GA) one of the Top 100 recruits in the nation, and on Monday, he let us know that he has narrowed down his college choices to five teams: Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, USC, and LSU.
Herring is ranked as the No. 3 player at his position according to Rivals.com. As of now, Georgia is considered the favorite, and it would be a big win for the Bulldogs to keep him in-state.

The biggest take away from Herring's highlight reel is that he has fantastic footwork. He's not extremely quick, but he does have enough to get him where he wants to be after he makes a move. If you want to see how good he is, take a look about 1:20 through the video above. The opposing team essentially assigned three guys to block him and... it still didn't work out for them, as Herring was able to pressure the quarterback.
Of course, he won't be beating three guys at the next level like that, but the footwork should translate very well. Whoever lands him will end up with a very talented recruit.
