Washington coach Jedd Fisch has emerged as the favorite to land the Wolverines' head coaching job, according to odds released by BetOnline.ag. Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham is also near the top of the list, while several familiar names trail behind.

Here is how the odds currently stack up:

Jedd Fisch 4/7
Kenny Dillingham 2/1
Kalen DeBoer 7/1
Biff Poggi 7/1
Jesse Minter 14/1
Jon Gruden 20/1
Tommy Rees 25/1
Jeff Brohm 33/1
Marcus Freeman 33/1
PJ Fleck 33/1

Fisch brings a Michigan connection that is hard to ignore. He spent two seasons on Jim Harbaugh's staff in 2015 and 2016 as passing game coordinator and has since built a reputation as a program fixer. The 49-year-old helped revive Arizona before guiding Washington through a rapid turnaround of its own.

Dillingham is another intriguing name, though there may be practical hurdles. He has put together two strong seasons at Arizona State and has deep roots in Phoenix. When asked about the Michigan opening last week, he did not sound particularly eager to leave.

Kalen DeBoer opened as the betting favorite, but his odds dropped after he publicly denied any interest in the job over the weekend. Jon Gruden's name also appears on the board, though he is not widely believed to be a serious candidate.

Michigan is searching for a new head coach after firing Sherrone Moore last week following the discovery of an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. Moore has since been charged with a felony related to his conduct after his dismissal.

As the search continues, the odds will keep moving. For now, Fisch is the name bettors are backing.
