College GameDay will be hitting more than one location for Week 1

College GameDay is making a surprising bonus trip Week 1.

College GameDay has already announced it is going to Atlanta for the Alabama vs. Florida State showdown on Sept. 2, but the crew is making another surprise trip to start the season.

Host Rece Davis made an appearance on the Bob Valvano Show in Louisville, and he unexpectedly announced that the GameDay crew is headed to Bloomington, Indiana for the Hoosiers' showdown with Ohio State on Thursday, Aug. 31.

The Buckeyes will be heavily favored to beat the Hoosiers, but it still will be a cool experience for Indiana football.

The matchup has an extra level of intrigue aside from being the conference opener for each team. Ohio State's new offensive coordinator, Kevin Wilson, was formerly the head coach at Indiana but parted ways with the school after allegations of mistreating his players.

Wilson was replaced by defensive coordinator Tom Allen, so the two are definitely familiar with each other's schemes. Wilson has a plethora of talent to work with at Ohio State, and he might have an axe to grind with his former school.
