UCLA fired head coach Jim Mora Jr. on Sunday, and several intriguing names have been floated around to replace him in Los Angeles.

FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd tweeted that Chip Kelly will be offered the job, but he also said that current Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin will also be in the mix "depending on his situation."

Sumlin is 7-4 this season with the Aggies, and he's actually considered to be on the hot seat. Ironically, the game that might've cost him his job was a 45-44 loss to UCLA in the season opener in which the Aggies led 44-10 in the second half. So, in a weird way, Sumlin is already 1-0 at UCLA (still too soon?).
Hiring a coach on the hot seat at his current job might not thrill UCLA fans, but it's not as if Sumlin has been a total failure at Texas A&M. He's had three straight 8-5 seasons, but that's as bad as it's been in College Station. He is 51-25 in almost six years at the school.
Whatever happens with UCLA, the coaching carousel promises to be entertaining again this offseason.
