On Saturday, Oregon coach Willie Taggart expressed some displeasure at the rumors that he could be leaving for the now open Florida State job.
Later in the day, Taggart was given a very real reason to be upset.
Amid the rumors, four-star athlete Tre'Shaun Harrison (6-foot-1, 190 pounds, Seattle, Wa.) announced that he was decommitting from Oregon and reopening his recruitment.
With the uncertainty surrounding Coach Taggart and the University Oregon's football program, I am decommitting and reopening my recruitment. I ask you that respect my family decision and please no interviews.
Harrison had been committed to Oregon for over five months, and he had not actively been pursuing other options during that commitment. Knowing that, it will be interesting to see exactly what avenues Harrison explores as a non-committed prospect.
Harrison is ranked as the No. 6 athlete in the nation by the 247Sports Composite.
