Paul Finebaum has seen all he needs to from Chris Petersen's Washington Huskies.
The Huskies lost 13-7 at Arizona State due to an anemic offensive performance and a dreadful kicking game, and Finebaum said on SportsCenter that he's "done" with the Huskies after just one loss.
"I'm done with Washington," Finebaum said. "Get them out of my sight. Last year they wiggled their way into the playoff with an embarrassing non-conference schedule and they're not going to do it this time."
The Huskies were one of many teams across the country that were upset on Saturday, and the loss hurt their chances of returning to the College Football Playoffs since their aforementioned non-conference schedule was so weak.
Washington played Rutgers, Montana and Fresno State out of conference, and they lost to a mediocre Arizona State team. Games against Oregon, Stanford, Utah and Washington State still remain on the schedule, and they have no margin for error.
Even if the Huskies win out and presumably beat USC in the Pac-12 title game, they might need some help from other conferences if they're going to make the playoffs.
The good news for Petersen's team is that outside of Alabama, every team looks beatable. There were a handful of upsets this weekend — including Clemson losing to Syracuse — so there could be a chance the Huskies get back in the mix. But after the loss to the Sun Devils, they no longer control their own destiny.
