USC's leading receiver becomes latest Trojan to go pro

That's getting brutal for USC.

The USC Trojans have lost plenty of players to the NFL Draft since the season has ended. From Sam Darnold to a bunch of others, a loss of talent from a good team is to be somewhat expected.

Unfortunately for the Trojans, not only are they losing their starting signal-caller, but leading wide receiver Deontay Burnett is also headed to the land of paid labor.

Because it's 2018, Burnett announced his decision to enter the NFL Draft on the mean streets of Twitter.

"After sitting down with my mother, father and family evaluating my future, I have decided to forego my senior season at USC and declare for the 2018 NFL Draft," Burnett said on Twitter. "It has truly been an honor to forever go down as a Rose Bowl and Pac-12 champion."

Burnett finished the season with 86 receptions and 1,114 yards and nine touchdowns. For those unaware of how math in college football works, those numbers are considered very good. In fact, nearly excellent. Hooray, math!

The defending Pac-12 champions will now have to replace its starting QB, leading WR, leading rusher, and spots at other positions in which stats mean slightly less.

Basically, a lot of production and experience is gone the way of the dinosaurs.
