With the season over, and the NFL Draft looming, USC Trojans quarterback Sam Darnold officially made a decision in regard to his future. Per 2018 bylaws, the gunslinger declared for the NFL Draft by way of Instagram.
Here is Darnold telling people on the Internet that he's leaving the land of college football:

Darnold actually joins a star-studded quarterback class that already includes Heisman winner Baker Mayfield, UCLA's Josh Rosen and Wyoming's Josh Allen.
According to most reputable NFL Draft experts, not only is the USC signal-caller expected to go in the first-round, but he might end up being the first quarterback taken off the board.
There was heavy speculation that he might return to USC for one more season, with many using conjecture to claim he didn't want to play for the hapless Cleveland Browns, but all of that is no more. If Hue Jackson wants to bring in Darnold, the only thing the future-pro can do to avoid going to Cleveland is to pull an Eli Manning.
This season, Darnold completed 303-of-480 passes for 4,143 yards, 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. For those unaware of how math works, that's pretty good.
