Alabama opens as hilariously huge favorite for SEC title game

That seems like a big spread.

Alabama has pretty much rolled over everyone it's played this season and so it would make sense that the Alabama Crimson Tide are favored in the SEC Championship Game. However, they're favored by three touchdowns against the Florida Gators who just clinched the SEC East title.

Florida has a top five defense in most statistical categories, but the spread isn't a reflection of its defense so much as the atrocious offense. The Gators are only averaging 26.2 points per game, but are also only allowing 13.3 points per game. Alabama is slightly better though allowing only 12.2 points a game and has a dynamic quarterback in Jalen Hurts who can hurt teams with his feet and arm.
