Five-star cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. was in Tuscaloosa this weekend for Alabama's Champions Cookout on Friday. Headed into the trip there LSU and Florida State were leading for him, but it seems that the Crimson Tide might have made the impression they were hoping for as he was talking pretty highly about them.

He told 247Sports that Alabama is making moves with him and it sounds like coach Saban and his staff might have catapulted themselves into the discussion for the class of 2018's top cornerback.
"They made a big move," he said. "They're definitely on the hot streak."
The 6'2", 181-pound CB out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. is ranked as the top CB, No. 2 recruit in Florida and No. 4 overall recruit by the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He also has offers from Clemson, Ohio State, Florida, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame and Oklahoma among plenty of others.
