Nick Saban Giving Golf Lessons to Alabama Players Proves Why He's the Best

Alabama Crimson Tide head football coach Nick Saban has had his fair share of offseason escapades. From tiny go-carts to visiting Italy, the 71-year-old coach seems to be living life to the fullest.

Saban was recently seen on the golf course for a charity golf tournament in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to Saban, a few of his players were there including defensive backs Kool-Aid McKinstry and Malachi Moore.

Saban, being a golf enthusiast, showed them the tricks of the trade.

As seen above, he offered lessons to the youngsters — which, knowing Saban, probably included some subliminal life advice.

Now, golf isn't an easy sport, as Moore learned quickly.

Moore whiffed it. A starting defensive back for the Alabama Crimson Tide — who could have some first-round draft hype for the 2024 NFL Draft — whiffed the golf ball. Saban, who's been coaching football for 50 years, didn't pass this up as being another coaching moment.

In the video above, you can hear him instructing Moore. He also told him he "foul-tipped it" as a funny remark. After receiving coaching from the legendary Saban, Moore technically connected. But let's say he has room to improve.

Saban appears to be having a ton of fun this offseason. His trip to Italy sounded like a resounding success. Yet even over 8,000 miles away, Saban said he heard some trash talk toward him.

Yes, in Italy.

The Crimson Tide's season kicks off Sept. 2 at home against Middle Tennessee. Alabama will look to make a comeback after falling short of the College Football Playoff last season.
