While Louisville, Miami and USC are some of the bigger name schools embroiled in the FBI probing of basketball recruits, Auburn has also been involved. And while that is an issue, it is only the latest for athletic director Jay Jacobs as his time as AD is reportedly almost over according to sources speaking with 247Sports.

Jacobs has dealt with the arrest of assistant basketball coach Chuck Person, the dismissal of an entire softball staff after allegations of an improper relationship between coach and player, an accusation that an academic counselor had taken a test for a former player and a lawsuit alleging discrimination filed by a former track coach.
This is all happening as head football coach Gus Malzahn has been rumored to be on the hot seat this season and if both of those men are gone by the end of the football season, the school could be in real disarray.
The former walk-on and 1983 National Champion has led Auburn to 11 national championships, including the 2010 BCS football national championship, and 24 SEC championships during his tenure as AD. More than $200 million has been spent on facilities for all sports as well.
