4-star LB Richard Jibunor makes Thanksgiving Day commitment, turning down Florida and Tennessee offers

He's the program's 16th commitment.

The SEC is a minefield of open and possibly soon opening head coaching jobs. But that didn't stop four-star linebacker Richard Jibunor from committing to one of those such schools on Thanksgiving Day, landing with the Auburn Tigers, per SEC Country.

There's been plenty of conversation on Gus Malzahn's tenure, noting the possibility of him jumping ship to the Arkansas Razorbacks, another program that hasn't fired its head coach, but very well could.

As for, Jibunor, the 6'3", 206-pound linebacker had plenty of interest, including offers from Alabama and Notre Dame. But it truly came down to Auburn, Tennessee and Florida, according to the report.

"I went back to Auburn and it just felt different. I went back again for the Georgia game, and I was like, that's the place to be," he said, via SEC Country. "I was just there, and sometimes, you know, you go walk around on the field. I just prayed and listened to what was going on in my heart. Deep down, I just keep hearing a voice, and it's Auburn."

Jibunor is Auburn's 16th commitment.
