Georgia is the defending SEC champion, and they nearly won the national title. All signs point to the Bulldogs being the premier program in the SEC East, but first year Florida coach Dan Mullen isn't ready to concede that title to Georgia.
Mullen just wrapped up his first signing day with the Gators, and while Florida finished 18th on ESPN's recruiting site overall, he was quick to point out during a speaking engagement that his program has still won two of the last three East division titles.
Dan Mullen: "Making it to one SEC Championship Game doesn't make you a dominant program. We've been to two in the last three years."
Believe that was in response to a question about Georgia becoming dominant in the East.

"So even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while," Mullen added according to 247Sports.
Florida and Georgia were trending in opposite directions last season, so Mullen has the difficult task of turning the Gators back into a championship contender.
Florida's last SEC championship was in 2008 when Mullen was the offensive coordinator. They've made it back to the title game three times since, but they all results in lopsided losses.
The Bulldogs have the upper hand for now, and the rest of the SEC East is chasing Georgia heading into 2018.
