Free agent coach and current ESPN analyst Chip Kelly has been linked to a few schools the past several weeks in the wake of jobs opening up. He is believed to be heavily considering UCLA or Florida and CBS Sports is reporting that he could make his decision on Sunday after everyone's regular season ends.
There was a report that Kelly was waiting for the season to end so that he would still receive his buyout from the San Francisco 49ers. In a recent ESPN story, anonymous coaches were almost in a consensus that Kelly should go to UCLA since that is where he is known in recruiting circles among other reasons.
Regardless of which school he chooses, he will have to act quickly with whatever assistant coaches he brings in to salvage the recruiting class. With the new signing period in December, there is a lot more pressure to get commitments from recruits and get some of them on campus as early enrollees as well.
