Florida officially names its replacement coach for former fan and recruit favorite

We'll see how this works out.

Florida lost tight ends coach and recruiting favorite JaJuan Seider to Penn State so the Gators needed to make a hire fairly quick. It looks like they've done that with the hiring of former Miami interim head coach Larry Scott. The team made the official announcement via Twitter.

Scott was on the inaugural USF football team that competed at the FCS level and eventually made his way back there as a graduate assistant and held several offensive positions on the staff from 2006 to 2012. He was then the tight ends coach at Miami from 2013 to 2015 and was not retained by Mark Richt when he took over the program.

He spent the last two seasons at Tennessee as the tight ends coach and was the offensive coordinator this past season. He was not retained by Jeremy Pruitt when he took over the Vols.
