There have been reports that former Oregon coach and current ESPN analyst Chip Kelly has been getting "thoroughly vetted" by Florida. It would appear that Florida likes him so much that they could pull the trigger this week and hire him:

Confirmed that UF is looking at Chip Kelly as next head coach. Decision could be as soon as this week. Also heard that Florida was becoming very frustrated with Jimmy Sexton, who represents many other potential candidates. Chip is represented by David Dunn.

It probably helps that he has a different agent than Jim McElwain who has been a thorn in the administration's side and was one reason that Florida didn't pursue an outright firing "with cause" after the death threats incident. They were likely trying to appease him that they could take a crack at one of his other clients in their head coaching search.
Kelly has not been in the college football ranks since he left Oregon after the 2012 season. He was then a coach in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles. He went a combined 28-36 in the NFL, but revolutionized offenses in college and went a staggering 46-7 including the postseason during his run with the Ducks.
