While wearing a jersey for a player might be an admission of being a fan of them, that doesn't necessarily mean you can identify them in person—just ask the Georgia Bulldogs fan who was wearing an Aaron Murray jersey and didn't realize he was right next to him.
You see, college football in the South is a big deal, especially when you're talking about the Bulldogs. Murray was the quarterback for the SEC powerhouse from 2010-2013 and had a stellar career, passing for over 13,000 yards, 121 touchdowns, and 41 interceptions. While former Georgia starters like Matthew Stafford and Stetson Bennett are remembered as stars for the program, Murray's place in Bulldogs history is remembered fondly by true fans of the SEC program.

All this to say that if you're a Bulldogs fan, you know who Murray is, especially if you're wearing his jersey during an SEC Media Day. During a live concert recently in Nashville, Murray took to the stage to be part of the show. While up there, a gentleman wearing Murray's No. 11 asked him, "What's your name, boss?"
To which Murray told him he was wearing his jersey.
It took the fan a few seconds to register what was happening, and it was absolutely hysterical.

While it might be slightly embarrassing for the guy on stage with Murray, the former Georgia quarterback and the crowd had a good laugh and took it all in good stride.
To be fair, there may have been some adult beverage consumption, so maybe Georgia fans can cut the guy a break.
On top of his statistics with Georgia, Murray is the all-time SEC leader in passing touchdowns and passing yards. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs, where he spent a few seasons as the team's backup. He most recently appeared in the NFL in 2017 with the Los Angeles Rams and played for the Tampa Bay Vipers, an XFL team, in 2020.
