The Georgia Bulldogs have seen their fair share of players leave the program via the transfer portal after losing the SEC Championship to the Alabama Crimson Tide, thus ending their College Football Playoff chances.
However, the Bulldogs are adding to their wide receiving group with former Miami Hurricanes player Colbie Young.

Young, who is 6-foot-5 and 215 pounds, caught 47 balls this past season for 563 yards and five touchdowns. He has just one year of eligibility left, and he'll look to improve his NFL Draft stock with the Bulldogs and head coach Kirby Smart. In addition to Georgia, he considered Penn State and Wisconsin.
"Thank you Miami coaches and teammates for everything," Young said on Instagram. "Y'all made the experience amazing and I'm extremely grateful. Thank you to my agent, family, friends, etc. for supporting me through this decision. With that being said I have decided to transfer and am committing to [the] University of Georgia."
In addition to Young, Georgia is also bringing in former Vanderbilt Commodores standout wide receiver London Humphreys and South Carolina Gamecocks defensive lineman Xzavier McLeod.
This is another year in which the Bulldogs have used the transfer portal for wide receiver depth. They brought in Rara Thomas and Dominic Lovett last year.
These additions come at the perfect time. Wide receiver Ladd McConkey could be on his way to the NFL; and senior wide receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, who has one year of eligibility left, is also leaving the program.
The Bulldogs will take on the Florida State Seminoles in the Orange Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 30. Florida State has seen two quarterbacks leave the program: Jordan Travis, who suffered a terrible leg injury in Week 12, is headed to the NFL; and his backup, Tate Rodemaker, is transferring. The Seminoles will have to be content with third-stringer Brock Glenn, who had fewer than 100 passing yards in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Game against Louisville.
While it missed the College Football Playoff, Georgia is reloading for next season.
