Outright favorite beginning to emerge for five-star OG Jamaree Salyer

Salyer is the No. 7 overall recruit in the nation.

The next few weeks could very much prove to be winning time when it comes to one of the top recruits in the nation.

Five-star offensive guard Jamaree Salyer (6-foot-4, 342 pounds, Atlanta, Ga.) is the No. 7 overall recruit in the nation according to 247Sports, and he has previously named Clemson and Georgia as his two leading schools ahead of his planned Dec. 20 commitment date. However, Georgia has really started to emerge as an outright favorite, at least in the 247Sports Crystal Ball. The Bulldogs currently have 95-percent of the predictions for Salyer, with Clemson down to just one of the 20 predictions.

Where things could get interesting for Salyer is with his official visit to Ohio State this upcoming weekend. Salyer has previously named Ohio State as his "safety net" school, and the visit could be the Buckeyes' last chance to make a statement in the five-star's recruitment.

Salyer is rated as a five-star by every major service. He has said before that he is planning to enroll early.
