Georgia's Jacob Eason showed he was all class after a devastating loss in National Championship Game

This is what great teammates do.

The College Football Playoff's conclusion was a thrilling one for fans of the Alabama Crimson Tide and a devastating one for the fans of the Georgia Bulldogs. As has been well chronicled, Kirby Smart's bunch gave up a two-score lead in the second half to allow Nick Saban to capture his sixth national championship and, as you may expect, Georgia players had to be highly disappointed with the way things transpired.

Still, that does not mean that the UGA squad erupted in an inappropriate manner and, in the case of quarterback Jacob Eason, he was captured on camera in classy fashion after the clock went to triple zeroes in Atlanta. Eason, who is widely expected to transfer, was beaten out by true freshman Jake Fromm this season but, after the loss, he was seen waiting for Fromm as the team exited the field and he placed support for his teammate.

Eason arrived in Athens as a five-star prospect and was seen as "the next big thing" for Georgia. In a situation like that, it would be at least somewhat understandable for him to harbor resentment to a younger player taking his job but, in this case, Eason appears to be doing the best possible thing in providing comfort to a friend and teammate.

The former top prospect likely won't be in Athens when the 2018 season rolls around but this is nice lasting impression to leave in the public sphere.
