Tennessee gave us the dumbest drive of the year and it might cost their coach his job

This was truly awful play-calling.

Tennessee and Florida played one one of the worst games of Week 3, until the fourth quarter came around. 33 points were scored between both teams and the game ended with a 26-20 score in favor of the Gators thanks to an incredible Hail Mary play. The Vols had a chance to go up in the third quarter and take control of the game. However, a series of horrific play-calling might have done in the team and head coach Butch Jones.

It started on first and goal at about the half-yard line where Dormady tried to throw it into the corner of the end zone while his receiver was double covered. And then followed more pass plays that did not go to John Kelly who was clearly the best player on the field for this game.

There was a false start that put UT back five yards and then Dormady threw a lateral that lost about a yard:

Then on third down he ended up throwing an interception that cost the Volunteers any chance at points:

However, there was scoring and incredible play-making from John Kelly who finished with 237 total yards. He gave the Vols a chance with a touchdown late in the game to get the deficit down to 20-17. Alas, he still didn't get nearly as many touches as he should have and Vols fans are going to be calling for Butch Jones' head real soon.
